My Journey into Artificial Intelligence
I’ve always been drawn to new technologies, but AI truly captured my interest when a coworker specializing in it introduced me to its vast potential. From experimenting with image generators to diving deeper into machine learning applications within my workplace, I saw how AI could transform traditional processes. For me, AI is amazing not just because of what it can do now but because of the possibilities it holds for the future. It’s a tool that, when used creatively, can unlock help efficiencies and innovations. Yet, with all its promise, AI also brings unknowns, especially regarding its future impact on humanity, which both excites and challenges me. I believe AI should be used with caution and guardrails.
When it comes to AI, there isn't much I haven't done. I try and utilize it every day. I created the Gareth AI, cloned my voice, created AI videos, AI images, custom GPT's, create custom websites, created RAG models, and Fine tuned models.
I hold a Machine Learning certificate from Duke University, alongside various AI-specific certifications, including one tailored to product ownership in AI. My experience includes working with Python and TensorFlow, and I have honed specialized knowledge in prompt engineering, image generation, and conversational AI through platforms like ChatGPT. This technical foundation equips me to develop, fine-tune, and implement AI solutions that drive real results.

AI Projects and Impactful Case Studies
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work on impactful AI-driven projects across various roles. At CSAA, I led the creation of a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) model for internal information and product management, utilizing Writer as a third-party tool to streamline requirements gathering. This model now enables insurance agents to access comprehensive information quickly, cutting a week-long process down to mere hours.
Beyond product management, I’ve also worked as an art consultant, where I guide artists in the U.S. on using AI for reference images. Additionally, I’ve trained individuals and organizations on integrating AI into their workflows, conducting change management to ensure smooth adoption. One of my most innovative contributions has been developing an AI bot that generates user stories from provided requirements, which significantly reduced time and effort in product management tasks.
At CSAA, I played a key role in identifying various AI use cases and implementing them in collaboration with third-party vendors. These initiatives ranged from automating story writing to integrating third-party solutions like Writer to build robust RAG models for insurance knowledge. My approach to vetting AI tools includes assessing their adaptability to our needs and implementing use cases that bring immediate and measurable benefits.
